Not wanting to disappoint, Silco lied, “Of course not. Give me some peace for a minute, Jinx,” he said, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
She closed the door extra slowly, making it creak to be annoying, then skipped off down the hall.
As soon as Jinx left, Silco tried to think back to what it could possibly be… “shit!“
Sitting up suddenly in his chair, he rummaged through his desk drawer.
Silco pulled out a note that Jinx had dropped in front of him last week,
“Birthday on Saturday, I want this!”

Will turns his head to look at Mike, who’s cracking up beside him, covering his mouth and shaking at the shoulders as if he’s never seen anything funnier.
“Dude, when they said “mix-up with the rooms”…” Mike starts, stifling hysterical giggles in between his words, “I didn’t think they meant there would be seven beds.”
The Party’s perfectly planned-out road trip takes a borderline confusing turn when Will and Mike’s hotel room has entirely too many beds.

“Have you ever…” Mike closed his eyes, letting his head fall forward for a moment, “Are you in love with Lucas?”
Max rubbed her black eye, muttering a ow as she thought over the answer.
“Yeah, I mean — look — don’t make fun of me.” She said, letting her hand fall in her lap, “He’s stupid a lot and makes me mad a lot. But he’s… he’s such a dork. In like, an endearing way, you know? And…”
She hesitated for a second, expression falling. Mike could tell even though he could see her.
“But being stuck for that long in that fucked up mindscape, all I could think about was getting back to him. So yeah, I love him.”
Mike shook his head, fingers gently tugging on the strands of his hair. He’d cut it himself recently. It didn’t look half that bad to be completely onest.
“No — I mean, are you in love with him?”
There was another long pause. Mike could practically feel Max’s judgment coming off in waves. Judgment or understanding, he couldn’t tell, it always was like that with Max.

It was indeed Richie; Eddie’s instincts hadn’t failed him there (how could they? This had been their routine for as long as Eddie could remember), but what he could never have anticipated is what Richie looked like.
A gasp was ripped out of Eddie’s throat, sharp and awful, and Richie flinched. Eddie pressed a hand over his own mouth, trying to muffle the horror that he thought may come spilling out of it like vomit.

There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Surprisingly one of the best fics I’ve ever read. INSANE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER! A mix of aww, wtf, NO, IM GONNA PUKE, oh no, awww, and oh yay. SO MUCH IS GOING ON WITH THIS. Most of it enjoyable, the other half horrifying. Worth the read.

He pauses when he doesn’t get an answer, looking to see where Mike went. Will finds him standing at the shelf where their D&D binders sit, gently brushing his fingers over the spines of his and Will’s books. He hears a sniffle come from Mike. Is he crying?
