Summary
Dream — or just Morpheus now that he’s retired, as everyone except Hob seems required to call him — newly human and newly showing any sort of interest in what that has to offer (so Hob thought), makes an earnest attempt (which Hob regrets ever suggesting) to meet new people. It goes slightly too well. And there's far too many people for Hob's liking.
Caught between some centuries of yearning and the risk hanging over his head like a noose that Dream might decide to call on Death after all — and that it'll all be Hob's fault — tension comes to a tipping point when Dream presses the issue.

Hob should have fucking known Dream, in his Endless lifetime, had learned how to wield such a weapon. Should have known when Dream came prepared with black leather gauntlets up to his elbows and supple black leather pants that would provide protection in addition to range of movement.
He just hadn’t thought… well, that didn’t matter now. Just leave it at that. Hob hadn’t thought.
Hob needs someone to sub in for an edged weapons demo very last minute. He probably should have been suspicious when Dream offered.

Summary
Dream Endless is an omega with a history who has no intention of ever being with or dating an alpha again. Despite that intention, he has still entered into the Match program in the hope of finding his True Mate, because if anyone was to love him despite his broken past, it would be them.
Hob Gadling is a beta (who trends to the more alpha side of the scale) who volunteers to work with omegas to help them get practice dating alphas, who was married once, to an alpha who wasn't his True Mate, and now he is holding out for true love.
They both, quite unexpectedly, find what they're looking for.

Summary
When the time comes for Hob to start his next life - Dream makes him an offer - to shape his form into that of a much younger man, (a twenty-two year old, to be precise) so he can have more time in the next iteration of himself.
Hob accepts and proceeds to be very horny about it, especially when he realizes Dream is altering his own form to appear a little older, a little more experienced, a little more distinguished.
(Then they are both very horny about this development.)

Summary
It had happened slowly, so many months chipping away at the cold façade, and Hob knows now that Dream is so much more than the person he pretends to be. He likes soft things, sweet things, likes having his hand held, and his hair played with. For all that he pretends to be indifferent, there's been a new bouquet of flowers on the counter at The Dreaming every two weeks since Hob had gifted him that first bunch of daffodils.
Dream is a little bit broken. Hob likes to fix things. They fall in love.

Hob has ascended to Hope of the Endless, entirely on accident, through no fault of his own. With that comes changes that Dream is happy to walk him through, but the most surprising of which is that he can be courted.
The Endless, of course, can get married, and Hob is suddenly inundated with suits from people, creatures, and entities that he does not want, and has no interest in, even if they are immortal. After all, he's only ever wanted one immortal being, and seems to be the one determined to keep him at arm's length as he learns to be Hope.
