part 2 ch 13 at last read

Warning for future rereads: The relationship between Tor and Lok through the first half of Part 1 reminded me viscerally of listening to someone describing in terrible detail their decade-long abusive marriage and eventual escape. Do not read/reread that section unprepared.

Instead of calling for a teacher at the Seeing Stone of Tython, Grogu Sees a chance to change everything. He’s thrown back in time, but his buir Din Djarin is now a teen with dim memories of their shared past, so that’s an unexpected complication.

    Summary

“So,” says Rach. “D’you think it really happened, then?”

“I think that an enterprising person may saw through a gallows' ropes if given the time, and that summer heat and rain together will rot any crop if the tarps are stolen, and that poison kills a man more surely than any stained silk, and that even if such magic existed it has never favored the powerless,” Adelina says, somewhat more bitterly than she means to. “But it is a good story.”

In which Adelina is caught in the act. This affects a few things.
