What if the player never existed?
What if instead of Kris, Noelle fell into that dark fountain with Susie?
What if Kris has no association with the Knight and knows nothing of the dark worlds?
What if the soul that was desperately needed to seal fountains was Kris's and Kris's alone, yet the human is blissfully unaware of how desperately they are needed? Of the leadership fated for them?

Kris watched as Noelle walked out of the classroom with Susie, sighing softly.
Whatever. Honestly...they knew they should care more but...Susie never bullied Noelle anyway....
However...for some reason after that, Noelle and Susie completely disappeared for the rest of the fucking day!?!?! And for some goddamn reason when they came back Noelle is randomly seeking them out and Susie is acting weird as fuck, and they're somehow a lot closer??? And for another unknown goddamn reason Susie WILLINGLY asked to do their project.
What the fuck is going on??????
Whatever. They don't need to be a part of this bullshit. At least Berdly is just as confused as to what the hell is going on with their project partners.

Blue is called in to deal with another one of Yellow's spirals. and as always, he chases away any and all fear and doubt plaguing the cowboys mind, at least for now. But when someone's suffering as much as Yellow, 'at least for now' is as good as it tends to get. Not that that matters to Blue. As long as Yellow is with him, alive and as well as he can be, that's enough.
or; Blue achieves the bare minimum of not being ableist towards his partner. this is impressive because the world really hates people with OCD for some reason.
