Summary
Daniel "Danny" James Fenton was a junior engineering student at Gotham University. He lived off-campus, in Park Row; or, as the natives called it, Crime Alley. The crime didn't really bother him much, though. Or the distance from campus. Or even the shoebox size of his apartment. It wasn't like he spent much time there, after all.
Daniel "Phantom" Nightingale was the Ghost-King-in-waiting. One day, he would be responsible for all of the unquiet dead and not-quite-dead, everywhere, forever. He was not technically required to pick up any of the duties until then, but when did problems ever get better for ignoring them? So he was handling things, as they cropped up.

Summary
Ed and Al's disastrous foray into human transmutation flings them across time and space and they end up in 1991 at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ed, being eleven, is admitted to the school as a first-year student, while they try to figure out how to get back to Amestris and get their bodies back. At first, Ed is unsure about this "wand magic", and the castle. However, everything changes when an opportunity presents itself - in the form of a Philosopher's Stone hidden somewhere in that very castle. The two brothers are unwittingly swept up in the plots and politics of the age in which they have found themselves - an age of dark wizards and mounting unease.

The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.
