    "We… We can start over," Xie Lian said slowly, the prospect of a possible friendship between them lodging itself sharply in his mind. "We can get to know each other again; take it slow, become friends."
    It would be an illusion. Xie Lian knew it. Regardless of whether the ghost's memories returned to him, it would all be fake, it would only complicate things further in hindsight. But what else could he do?

    or:Unable to afford suppresants, Xie Lian succumbs to his first heat during his banishment. Wu Ming is there to help him but still gets torn apart by vengeful spirits, leaving only his beautiful ring behind. Xie Lian, guilty of having ‘forced himself’ on the ghost, sets off at least to find his beloved and return the treasure to its rightful owner. He has to endure the suffering of losing his child, of fighting his way through the massacre of the Mount Tonglu’s challenge, of catching a glimpse of the ghost only to lose him again. They reunite eventually, but Wu Ming has lost his memories!

    This was meant to be a smutty one-shot but it grew legs… You can click chapter one for some messy Wulian, stay for the angst that comes after that, and then maybe stay even longer for tons of hurt/comfort.

    Notas del WIP: Cuando WM se forzó a presentarse como alfa , le dijo a XL q lo llamara San Lang, aunq el nombre no se ha usado más. | Dado que mucha gente de Xian Le habia buscado refugio en Yushi y asumiendo que WM's beloved era de Xian Le, XL decidió dirigirse hacia allá para buscarla. | Una maldición se metió con el feto. En un intento por sacarlo, XL se abrió las entrañas. Al final el feto murió. | XL se recuperó en casa de Yushi Huang (aunq creo q nunca la reconoció como tal), trabajando en los cultivos mientras procesaba el shock. | A XL le habia aparecido una Widow Mark, dado que su pareja habia muerto. Sin embargo su marca de apareamiento acaba de reaparecer. Al mismo tiempo, el monte Tonglu esta abriendo y como TODOS los fantasmas van para allá, XL ha decidió seguirlos. | El feto de XL regreso como un fantasma muy salvaje y decidido a atormentar a su padre. Poco a poco van llegando a algun tipo de "entendimiento". | XL estuvo por medio año un un ciclo de muertes por ahogamiento. Se acaba de despertar solo oara ver a WM (quien no estamos seguro de siblo recuerda) ascender.

    Me gusta q los intentos de WM por cambiar su apariencia NO salgan bien a la primera. Sale disparejo, XL lo reconoce, y aun asi lo halaga. Cuando el hechizo cae, vemos como el lado derecho es literalmente el de un cadaver en putrefacción, y aun asi XL para a admirar su ojo rojo. Me encanta cuando no se huye de la fealdad, sino q se para a contemplarla y admirar su historia.

    XL es cruel con WM cuando se da cuenta de que él también es un omega. El pobre chico entra en crisis y se (tortura) modifica a si mismo para complacer los deseos de XL (él también quiere sexo, él también quiere satisfacer a XL, pero la el rechazo y la modificación corporal posteriro fueron decididamente horribles). Ya después XL siente mas culpa por la parte de imponerse a WM y separarlo de his beloved, q de esa parte en específico.

    ""Regret? Don't you think I have more than enough of those?" the god mumbled against the ghost's neck, sweet pheromones he inhaled dulling the dagger of ire in his voice. "I already regret too many things to count. I doomed my family, my friends, my kingdom, and myself. What's one more addition to this list? Could I regret this time with you more than letting thousands die? Than robbery? Than driving my parents to a suicide?""

    "He needed to hold onto this ghost and protect him, become someone better, someone he would learn to love not out of duty but out of the will of his soul. [...] Screw Yong'An, screw Bai Wuxiang! What he was yearning for was not a revenge but unconditional companionship."

    "Xie Lian's eyes were stinging with tears and his lips with the urge to kiss the large, bony hand that slid down his hip to cradle it in an instinctively heeding caress. It was then that he realised that he didn't hate anything or anyone apart from one person.
    He hated himself."

    Notas del WIP: HC y XL están en Paradise Manor. | HC ya le contó a XL q Yong An habia caído y los espíritus resentidos se liberaron, lo q XL interpretó como q él lo habia hecho (HC no ha tenido el espacio para corregirlo). | Vía contarle a XL q él era el fuego fantasma q liberó, HC logró convencerlo de q no es BWX. | XL está bañado y dormido.

    "Like Wu Ming had. He'd- he'd been too cowardly. Too quiet. He hadn't taken enough space, because encroaching on Dianxia's space had felt like a grave offense, and he'd never ask for his attention like that, it would be shameful. But-
    But because of that, he hadn't shown Xie Lian that he was there. When a presence was too faint, how could one be expected to sense it? He should have been bolder, even risking angering Dianxia, if only to show him he wasn't alone."

    Demasiado buena.
    Me faltan los capítulos extra (>3)
    El final fue como si estuviera viendo una película. Todo fue como si estuviera viendo una película. Una de drama, de esas q te mantienen al borde de la silla. Llevo tensa 1 hora con explosión tras explosión de dolor.
    Termina en un punto crítico y salta a un "esto pasó con los personajes después de acabada esta historia". Es sorprendente como logra encariñarte con cada uno de los oc's.
    Estuve tan emputada con Mu Quing!!!
    Hay romance, pero nunca se trata realmente de un ship. Si, San Lang ama a su Gege, pero eso queda claro y entendido desde el principio. La cosa es ver a Xie Lian estar absolutamente destrozado y que aun asi tiene que seguir, se obliga a ello por un amor q es tanto amor como odio, como resentimiento, como devoción, como vergüenza.
    Dioses, la escritora es demasiado buena para retratar sentimientos desagradables e intensos.

    "[Xie Lian/Hua Cheng] Podrían tener algo hermoso, incluso sin el amor romántico de Xie Lian. No necesitaba amar a Hua Cheng. Contaría con la lealtad de Xie Lian. Tal vez el amor llegaría después. Después de que Xie Lian tuviera tiempo de sanar sus viejas cicatrices y lamer sus heridas recientes. Después de que Xie Lian aprendiera a confiar y a probar el fruto prohibido sin culpa ni horror."

    “Oh,” he said, once his eyes focused and he realized Wuming was bent over the cooking pot in the middle of the room. His heart beat in double-time and his stomach flipped, although he couldn’t explain why. He was just suddenly deeply anxious, certain the idyllic picture before him was about to crack like a mirror.

    But it didn’t. Wuming glanced towards the door and immediately lit up to see him.

    “Your Highness! Welcome back.” He sounded so earnest that Xie Lian had to smile, casting aside his strange unease without another thought.

    After months of vigilant care, Wuming has returned to Xie Lian!
