'Fine, Daozhang. Fine! Perhaps Daozhang simply isn’t in the mood for dinner tonight. Dinner is boring anyway, isn’t it? Let’s just skip straight to dessert.'
There was a small glass jar on the table, one that Xue Yang had placed there hours earlier in hopes of sharing its contents with the man in front of him. He reached for it now, unable to wipe the smirk from his face.
'Have you ever had honey, Daozhang?'"
