Summary
The Heir’s Tournament was meant to herald King Viserys’s reign finally being secured by the birth of a son. However, by the end of the day both that son and Queen Aemma would be dead, leading a new heir to be declared and the first seeds of the Dance of the Dragons to be sown.
But what if fate had woven a different tale?

Summary
After the tragic death of Lyonel Strong in a fire at Harrenhal, King Viserys resolves to once again name Otto Hightower as the Hand of the King. That night, Viserys dreams of the dire future awaiting his family and the realm. The future he himself has inadvertently brought about.
Viserys decides to do everything he can to prevent that future and ensure that his daughter will one day ascend the throne unopposed.
Rhaenyra is not sure if she believes in the veracity of her father’s dream but, on the back foot against Alicent at court, the king’s newfound support is welcomed.
However, as Viserys’s obsession with clearing a path for Rhaenyra’s queenship grows, is it too late for Rhaenyra to reconcile with Alicent and mend the divide between their two families?

Summary
The first Kaiju that came to Westeros took almost two weeks to bring down, finally falling to concentrated air attack while wreaking havoc in the Riverlands. After the second monster appeared less than a month later, the world banded together to construct machines that could fight the Kaiju. To fight the monsters we built monsters of our own.
Piloting a warmachine the size of a Jaeger Mech requires two people to share the neural load. Melding two pilots into one neural interface is achieved through a process called drifting, constructing a mental and physical connection until the pilots move as one while controlling their Jaeger.
The Drift is something even the best scientists of the Jaeger Program struggle to fully understand. A physical connection yes, but also something much deeper, emotional and metaphysical, maybe even on the level of souls, if one believes in such ideas. The strongest Drift Bonds usually come from familial connections, parents and children or siblings making for excellent piloting pairs. Some scientists argue that strong emotional bonds are enough, like romantic love or even just friendship. Rhaenyra and Alicent don't have either of those(anymore), yet their Drift remains strong.

Her desperate swing makes the rock connect with his temple. A harsh strike to that vulnerable spot that has felled so many larger men before him. Alicent hears a sickening crunch before the man looming over her crumples to the floor at her feet.
Shock grips her by the throat as she looks down. Eyes widening as she stares in alarm at the ever-expanding pool of blood spreading beneath his still form. The wound in his head is bleeding profusely. (Is he–is he dead?) Her breathing stutters out of constricted lungs, her heart races as the realization catches up to her: she killed somebody.
