Summary
Four months have passed, and Albus Dumbledore is confidently living the best spring of the last five years, with many a positive development having arisen of late. Meanwhile, Gellert Grindelwald has the distinct felling nothing is going according to plan, and that he seemingly cannot dispel his erstwhile paramour from his brain anymore does not exactly help.
But that they eventually need to discuss their lingering tension and possibly leftover affections, and the oh-so-fateful lakeside kisses is clear to both of them, though Albus would rather they take a few years, and Gellert that they had discussed it practically yesterday. Now if only one of them could either gather the courage to, or, by his own opinion, lower himself to write that first letter...
Still a story of two [incredibly idiotic and ignorant] men realising that the wisest do not conquer in extremes, but in each other's moderation.

Summary
Albus Dumbledore has been living in between two worlds since he was eleven and got into an accident involving multiple wizard boys— or perhaps even earlier, when he was eight years old and his parents thought, for the first time, that something might be off with him— but he was never accepted in either. To the wizarding world it was like he never existed. His family was far to ashamed to say the word squib, let alone mention him to anyone else. To the muggles he was just another brilliant boy, one they didn't know could brew potions as well as anyone or recite transfiguration textbooks from memory. The only person without a care in the world is his busybody neighbor, Bathilda Bagshot. When her great-nephew shows up in Godric's Hollow, Albus feels known, feels understood, for the first time. Too bad the boy hates everything Albus is.

Gellert Grindelwald hates muggles, but doesnt know Albus Dumbledore is a squib. Good thing Albus has always been good at withholding information.
