Occult Overdrive is minimally-edited, more-or-less-unplanned literary urban fantasy battle shonen, served directly from my heart to yours. It’s unclear how long this will receive updates, or when those will be (UPDATE: EVERY SUNDAY, BABEY), but stay tuned. Because Dracula’s gonna be in this one. Well I mean technically it’s going to be Vlad Tepes. But not a particularly historically accurate one. So it’s a lot easier to just say Dracula. He’s gonna be here. It’s gonna be awesome.

Rumi’s hand slides up her neck and finds her hair, pulling her back once again. “You aren’t getting away with it that easily.” Her voice is low and commanding.“Ahh,” Mira lets out a surprised gasp, a shiver running through her whole body as Rumi's eyes lock onto hers. Her usual soft gaze has been replaced by an intensity that is reserved only for Mira and Zoey. A smirk crosses Mira’s face as she pulls on Rumi's tie. “What are you going to do about it, princess?” The hand in her hair tightens, drawing out another small gasp.
Rumi pulls Mira by the hair, quickly leading her to the bedroom. “I am going to finally teach you how to behave like a good girl.”

The thought of just coming up to Rumi and going, “Hey, we find your patterns sexy, wanna take off your clothes so we can admire it and maybe have a threesome?” was becoming more and more appealing by the day.
But that wasn’t romantic, and it definitely wasn’t something that Mira would consider saying out loud at the risk of embarrassing herself in case Rumi found it weird.

Rumi dragged a hand down her face. She hadn’t even meant to hide this.
Not like she’d hidden the patterns. It just hadn’t come up, and she was a private person anyway, and she wasn’t just going to bring it up out of nowhere. Besides, hiding the patterns had made it easy. The hoodies, the bathhouse, the carefully designed costumes…they all worked for more than one thing.
She didn’t want to miss Zoey and Mira anymore. Sure, they’d always have their own things. That was obvious. But she wanted to be part of their lives again. Wanted them to be part of hers.
