Summary
Somehow, Gintoki ends up wandering into the graveyards. His teacher had found him walking among the dead and now he's returned. It's not entirely clear how he got here, and in his half-delirious state his guess is good as anyone else's; maybe it's kind of like "ashes to ashes" or the whole "Equivalent Exchange" thing (wait, that's not trademarked, right?).
Meanwhile, Otose's pretty sure the world is falling to anarchy. She's probably right.

" Of course, Kirara falls. It's film writing 101. The Gintama writers want to have a Kubrick moment too.
Gintoki's body, thankfully, responds before his brain has even processed it. Before she's out of sight, he is launching himself after her. He has no plan except jumping himself, only barely registering that Sougo has thrown him a chain as he plunges into empty air. Against all odds, he manages to grab her hand.
She squeezes back. Because of course she does. No one jumping off a building actually wants to die.
Shinpachi holds a brief, sign-based conversation with her from a nearby building. Kirara's suicidal tendencies fade from her like they were never there in the first place. Gintoki kicks through a window once everyone has had a sufficiently heartfelt arc, safely depositing Kirara inside and ignoring the way the shattered glass scratches his own skin. The paramedics rush in and they don't even look at him, because Kirara clearly needs immediate psychiatric intervention. She just fell off a roof. Gintoki just jumped after her. "
Or:
When the Correspondence Arc takes a turn for the serious, Gintoki is left scrambling.

May shook herself out of the memory as a waiter went past carrying a plate of sushi. She was setting herself up for disappointment by engaging with these ‘what-if’ thoughts. The mystery guy was too young, too lawyer-y, and too picked-out-by-her-nephew. Peter was a great kid and smart to boot, but he had only just started dipping his toe into the shallow end of the murky pool that was adult romantic relationships; he didn’t yet understand how complicated it was for one person to find another who fit into their life in all the ways that were important.
The bell on the door jingled again, and May looked up just in time to see…
Oh.
May had known there’d be a cane and sunglasses and guessed there would be a suit, but she hadn’t expected him to be so… symmetrical. She hadn't really thought about his appearance at all, much less imagined that he would be handsome. Very handsome, in fact.

Summary
Given that all of this is a hoax, Gerri’s reaction seems a bit extreme. They’re walking through the executive floor, Gerri picking up every item she sees that could function as a weapon, then, when she comes across a deadlier one, discarding it and passing the spare to Roman. It’s like watching someone execute a video game strategy IRL, discarding inferior weapons in favor of others with higher attack, though he doubts Gerri has ever touched a gaming console in her life because—as Roman loves to remind her—she is fucking old. He was delighted recently to discover that Gerri is technically a boomer, having assumed Gen X until he googled the cutoff years. But this would be an impolitic time to express these thoughts to Gerri, who is armed with a fire extinguisher, while Roman has only a heavy vase picked up from the panic—safe—room.
