“Oh, what about the youngest Reinhardt girl? I heard she put down her Chantry vows and is now looking for a suitor.”
“Should I make the appointment?”
Leandra taps her finger against the rim of her teacup. “A girl who abandons her vows like that, though… Hm. Perhaps I should speak with her mother first. Find out why she did so.”
“We wouldn’t want Messere Hawke to be involved with anyone suspect,” He agrees.
Well, no more suspect than he is already involved with, if such a thing is even possible. Maker, no, she must make haste. Before Hawke fathers a barmaid’s tyke or something. “Make the appointment, Bodahn. I can ask Lady Reinhardt about it over dinner.”
Or: The one in which Leandra wants Hawke to settle down with a nice noblewoman. Hawke would much rather continue the family tradition of shacking up with dashing apostates.

“No,” he whispered. It was true, he felt nothing approaching regret. It sickened him. He'd watched his friends die by Starscream's hands. Watched as innocent mechs were executed—again, again, again. As much as he wished he could feel hatred for him, he couldn't. The tendrils of fate had warped till they were bent out of shape, a distortion of plausibility that Wheeljack could never hope to stop.

He thought he'd killed that part of himself, millions of years ago. Taken it out behind the shed and shot it, ground it down beneath his heel until no semblance of life remained, stripped it for parts and scrapped the rest. Caring what others thought was beyond him, beneath him; lying always came easy, but even easier now was to kill those who got in his way. It was war, kill or be killed, and Starscream wasn't one to roll over and die. That fate was for the imbeciles he'd carved into his path, their rusting corpses a proud testament of his continued existence.
If he'd destroyed it himself, watched it burn to ashes before his very optics, why now did he feel it twist every time he lied to Wheeljack?
