Summary
A cave-in cuts the Player from Poppy and Giblet during another scuffle with the Prototype. Thankfully, Poppy is out of Prototype's claws.
On the other hand, the Player is now faced with having to find their way back up to their friends with the help of a very unexpected enemy-turned-ally.
Because despite everything he's done, he is still a child after all, and as much of a victim of this cruel place as everyone else. He deserves to be saved, just like Poppy, Giblet and the others. Even if they won't be fans of this decision of Player's.
Aka; a self-indulgent fic, where the player saves and adopts Ollie/Prototype, because I am feeling massively maternal towards the poor baby and I have to project this out in case someone might be needing the same. Also, you ever get a plot point idea in the middle of the story and don't know how to get there? YUP. It took me 4 chapters to get to the original point SOBBING

Moving to New Orleans to start up her rehabilitation hotel for criminals hasn't been all berries for Charlie, especially if everybody thinks you're some Dumb Dora with a complete horseshit plan.
And it's another jam that she's starting to get stuck on Alastor, the charming yet eccentric radio host next door who's never fully dressed without a smile.
But she's all smiles too, and that's made her out to be quite the dish to Alastor - in all senses of the word - and boy, was he ready to be entertained.

Sadly, when Alastor was alive, he had never experienced these things. He never felt any romantic feelings towards anyone nor' did he feel that fictional pull people describe in newspapers or chatter, he had nothing holding him back.
From his time in Hell, he learnt that soulmate bonds do not carry over if the individuals are in separate realms. One in Hell, and one in Heaven. However, they can be carried over if both individuals are in the same place.
Weird thing is; all these soulmate experiences he's missed when he was alive, they all seem to happen the moment he had stepped foot into the realm of Hell. He can't help but wonder why, but he isn't complaining.
