It was impossible. It should have been impossible unless Dragon was not only a shitty father but also had shitty tastes in women, but the body curled around him, rumbling in something that was half caught between a growl and a purr, felt too much like Luffy for Ace to be able to deny what has happening in front of his own eyes.

The dragon, because it was a dragon no matter how much Ace wanted to say it wasn't, rumbled back at him and yeah that was his little brother. His little brother who was a dragon.
Don't think of the implications Ace.
Who no one could try to kill now because everyone knew what it meant when someone had a dragon shift.
Anyone but Luffy probably.
"GARP!" echoed from somewhere and on this Ace at least could agree with that bastard fleet admiral. If Gramps knew about this he was going to punch him straight in the face.

Food!
Hongo’s eyes snapped wide open as the realization hit him.
If Hongo wanted to get Luffy to properly understand what he was learning and bag all the berri he could, he needed a different approach to this. A Luffy approach, and that involved food.
Food. It was so blindingly obvious he felt like a fool for not thinking of it three days ago.
Luffy’s entire worldview was filtered through his stomach. Yeah the kid liked beetles and was a sucker for stories, but food was the most important thing in the universe to him. Trying to teach him basic conversational grammar or standard greetings was like trying to teach a sea king how to play the fiddle.But if Hongo weaponized the kitchen? He’d have the kid fluent by the weekend.

Summary
The Red Haired pirates were merciless and feared all across the Grand Line. They would not be defeated by a too little snake with a too big stomach. Especially not after their captain made it his life goal to keep the animal as alive as it is possible on a pirate ship. With said animal being the incarnation of the chaos itself.
One thing for sure, Benn Beckman was definitely not going to clean after it.
Or: Benn ended up, in fact, cleaning after it.
