Summary
Two things happen in the next minute.
The towel that L is using to dry off Light’s foot is dropped to the ground next to him. There is a loss of sensation there, no fingers gripping his feet in any tender fashion. Light lets out a sigh, glad that it’s all over. It had been a deeply awkward situation, no matter how skilled L may be in foot massages. Light will never be doing this again. He doesn’t need to do it again, in account for this fact: just as L had said, they will be parting ways soon.
L pulling him into a kiss is the next thing that happens.
L kisses Light goodbye. Written for Lawlight Week 2025. Day 3: Final Goodbye.

Theo has realised his true love for Boris after the whole Amsterdam adventure, and he is ready to confess it, no matter what it takes. Unfortunately he doesn't know yet that Boris just got himself into something dangerous.
"His face softened, and before I could even protest, he got up from the couch surprisingly fast, came close to me, and kissed me on the lips like he did many years ago. That strong ‘goodbye-like’ kiss he gave me back then. Only this time, it wasn’t a goodbye kiss, it was a ‘hello’ kiss. Words weren’t even important anymore. They meant nothing compared to what a kiss could express."
