Summary
Ranma quickly succumbed to grief in the wake of Akane's death at Jusendo. Seeing her absence in every corner of the Tendo Dojo, and learning of her family's plans on transferring the engagement to Nabiki or Kasumi, he runs away from home and winds up in the Demon Ream on the Boiling Isles, where he meets a witch named Edalyn Clawthorne.
Years later, Ranma is living as a woman full time and she and Eda are the most wanted criminals on the Boiling Isles, raising a Demon named King. The two then take in a girl from the human realm named Luz Noceda, who just found out she isn't fully human, and decided to stay with the two women to learn about magic and what she is.

When Ranma is struggling to defeat the cheating Gambling King, Genma reveals a golden Puzzle that Happosai stole years ago, but was never able to complete. Happosai believed that whoever would solve this Millennium Puzzle, would gain the ability to win any game. So Ranma works to solve the puzzle so he can cure his terrible poker face, defeat the Gambling King, and make up for his past mistakes.
Meanwhile Mutou Yugi struggles to make it through dangerous event after dangerous event without the aid of the Millennium Puzzle.
And during all of this, the return of the shadow games is on the horizon, soon to be aided by a wealthy heir's autistic hyperfocus.
