Rumi doesn't like small, enclosed spaces. Actually, if anyone were to ask, she'd say she doesn't like enclosed spaces at all. She doesn't like being in a room with four walls, not when it feels like they could close in on her at any moment.
Unfortunately for her, nobody asks. Society wouldn't allow an idol who can't be inside without the possibility of a panic attack, so she learns to manage it. She thinks she does a pretty good job at pretending.

Summary
“Rumi! It is you! How are you alive?” Zoey cheered, and Rumi’s head flipped toward the sound, where Zoey and Mira stood at the other end of the alleyway. Both wore all black, and Mira even had a black sunhat with a veil. Zoey moved to run toward her, but Mira’s arm shot in front, keeping Zoey from getting closer.
“I knew it. I knew it was too good to be true,” Mira said, glaring at her with hate and disgust in her eyes. Exactly the way she looked at… well, demons, but dialed up to higher than ever before. “Zo—patterns. That’s not Rumi.”

Pre-reveal Rumi takes a hit while fighting on top of a speeding train car—not from a club, but a sword straight through the chest. That should have been the end, but demons revive in the demon realm when killed. Not even Rumi expected that would apply to her as well.

So that’s it, huh.
Mira does a better job at stifling her tears than Zoey, but she still feels a few warm drops run down her cheeks.
The hopes and dreams of being an idol at Sunlight Entertainment—hell, of being anything—are gone with a handwave from some guy in a suit and a paper that says “Thanks for auditioning”.
Before she can storm out as quickly as possible to save what little face she has left, Mira turns on her heel and freezes at the sight of Celine, the CEO of Sunlight Entertainment, watching her. That odd woman with the purple braid and mask floats behind her, eyes gleaming.
“Mira. Zoey.” Celine steps towards them. “Before you leave, I have an offer I’d like you to consider.”
Or: When Mira and Zoey, both running from difficult pasts, audition to become idols at Sunlight Entertainment (famous for its mysterious headliner idol Hunter) and fail, all hopes of meeting and training under Hunter go out the window until Celine makes them a different, surprise offer: train under Celine’s unknown ward Rumi instead.
(“Why us?” Zoey asks.
“Honestly,” Rumi says, “I think you're both really weird.”

Summary
Charlie's well aware she can come off as… abrasive, sometimes. Her enthusiasm isn't easy for most denizens of Hell to swallow. She’s worked to tone it down as the hotel’s grand reopening creeps closer, giving residents more space and swapping the flashy events for more casual gatherings. Charlie wants her new (and old!) friends to feel as comfortable as possible, after all! Especially since Alastor still hasn’t forgiven her for what happened…
But there’s one issue that’s not as easily solved. And unluckily, Charlie’s pretty sure it’s her most abrasive feature of all. But she’s not so sure this is a part of herself she can tone down—or even wants to tone down. Even if… everybody else… might want that.
Maybe there’s a way to compromise.
