A little over half a year later, Rumi and Jinu’s relationship has become an open secret in the industry. But considering Huntr/x’s image of feminine independence and the Saja Boys fully selling the boyfriend fantasy, going completely public is still off the table. They’ve since developed a rhythm that keeps them one step ahead of the rumors and bad actors, and so far, it’s been working great.
Until they fall out of step.
The pregnancy is anything but normal. In a span of only a month, Rumi goes from baby bump to full baby… except it’s an egg???
Rumi may be off the hook trying to hide a pregnancy (yay…?) but trying to hide a demon egg is a whole new ballgame. Considering a demon egg still needs incubation and care and… what kind of abomination against God is growing in there, anyway?
Turns out there's way more to demon biology than just rough sex every few weeks that leaves you delirious and chafes your boyfriend's thighs.
And something about Jinu getting a little too popular as a “boyfriend experience” idol for Rumi’s comfort…

Summary
Gwi-ma has been defeated. The Saja Boys have turned on their oppressor in the most critical moment, helping Huntr/x restore the honmoon and receiving their souls as a reward. All should be right in the world.
Rumi may have accepted her demonic heritage, but spending her entire life hiding it from herself didn't exactly prepare her for how demons work. For starters, when Jinu had told her demons do nothing but feel, she thought she had understood what he meant. Nope. She feels alright. She feels everything. A lot. Maybe too much.
Especially in her teeth.

Icarus and Atara-7 never had a full fireteam. No one really wants to work with a trigger-happy pyromaniac whose answer to everything is to throw a miniature sun at it. Then there's the intimidatingly huge EXO with a creepy Ghost. And the one Hunter who did have the guts to join their fireteam... he got kinda murdered by an insane Awoken Prince. That's just bad luck right there. Like broken mirrors and the number 13.
But thanks to the Spider’s most selfless generosity, all that is about to change. What a whimsical twist of fate that his newest “assistant” happens to be an outcast, too, a newly born Lightbearer. And a Hunter! To complete the package! One could even call it “destiny”.
Nevermind that the new guy is the Crow, Uldren Sov, that aforementioned Royal Nutcase who murdered their previous Hunter.
Nevermind that his new team members are the ones who killed him before his rebirth as a Guardian conveniently wiped away all his memories.
This is fine.

Otherwise, he most definitely would not be here in the Black Garden, a place beyond time and space, a place where the Vex come to pray, a place where everything grows. But Uldren wanted to be here, and Jolyon's place is by his side, always.
When Uldren suddenly vanishes like a toddler in a crowded mall, Jolyon ends up finding him in an underground cavern where all seems a little too normal. The water is warm and welcoming, perfect for a bath at Uldren's suggestion.
And Jolyon discovers the, erm, hard way that, yes, everything does indeed grow here.
