Summary
When he finally steers the Camaro onto the road of the ranch just outside the Austin city limits he’s immediately filled with a sense of belonging. It has always been one of Carlos' favorite places in the entire world. He might not have liked going away; his mom was right, he did get homesick both times they took him out of the city; but he has always loved coming to the ranch.
A Sunday afternoon spent at Tia Lucy's featuring family time, TK being a thoughtful fiancé, Carlos' sisters teasing their brother and Carlos surprising TK with something wedding related. All in all just a whole lot of tooth-rotting fluff.

The clock reads nearly 2am and Carlos is sure TK is fast asleep, even though they both have the day off tomorrow. He was supposed to be home hours ago but his shift ran long and he has missed date night.

It was Lexi, who asked him to come pick up his drunk husband. In the background he could hear Carlos yelling something he couldn't quite make out and it made him smile.

“I am not going to eat in front of you while you have nothing, Hollander,” Ilya scoffs. He plucks a can of cold ginger ale from the top shelf as casually as he can manage and slides it over the island, interrupting Hollander’s fidgeting thumbs. “You must be hungry, yes? It’s been hours since you left hotel. I can make something. Easy.”
“Make… what?” he asks warily.
Ilya rolls his eyes and tosses a look over his shoulder. “Do not worry. I will find something that works for your special hockey diet,” he teases. He reaches back into the fridge. “Tuna melt okay?”
“No,” Hollander says primly. “And it’s a disease. Not a diet.”
He pulls his hands out of the cold and turns, blinks. “What?”

The truck comes to a stop a few meters to his side, and Shane can see the satisfaction in Harris’ eyes at the perfect shot.
“Very recently, some of our team members had to be evacuated due to the underground gas leak in some areas of the city,” Shane dutifully explains, trying not to sound like he’s reading it off a card. He isn’t. He just tends to sound robotic sometimes and apparently, people think that’s funny. “Thanks to all the first responders of Ottawa, nobody was harmed and the leak was…” Shane trails off. “...fixed…”
Currently, some of the hottest men he’s ever seen are spilling out of the firetruck and into their parking lot.
