    Kirishima is left to deal with the repercussions of a hero-less society run by criminals and villains alike, all while piecing together the horrors of war along the way. His only hope is to team up with Bakugo and reunite their classmates in an effort to solve the mysterious disappearance of Izuku Midoriya. Solving his disappearance may be the key to fixing the world and all its chaos—the one chance they have left.

    They'll have to fight like hell to make it through.

    “You’re the first guy friend I’ve had that I can just like, be friends with. You’re either the most unthirstiest boy ever...” Camie shrugged and made another wobbly illusion appear between her hands. It looked like a sparkly rainbow with the word ‘friendship’ beneath it, accompanied by what Bakugou assumed was supposed to be a twinkling sound effect, but it had a tinny quality to it and sounded far away. “...or I just ain’t got the kinda straw you like to ssssip.”

    Carefully, Bakugou considered the strange turn this conversation had taken.

    He had never been asked, point blank, if he was gay before. And he honestly had never thought about how he would respond. Lying about himself didn’t sit right with him. But he’d always wanted to wait until he was the number one hero - when he stood above everyone else - before coming out. Though he’d had times when he’d thought about doing it before then and had almost gone through with it once. But being the number one hero came first. It wouldn’t matter what people would say about it then as long as he’d risen to the top.

    Bakugou knew his lack of a response would give Camie all the answers she needed.

    Aizawa tosses the plate at the floor sending it skittering across the room.

    “Sorry,” Kirishima gasps. “I’m sorry.”

    Bakugou stares at the plate then at the mess on his lap. Aizawa looks resigned about something.

    “That’s what I thought. No meat.”

    Kirishima lets out a half sob, choking on it as it struggles up his throat. Bakugou blinks.

    “No meat?” he sounds devastated, and wants to hit himself for it. But Kirishima loves meat, doesn’t he? He eats it like it’s going out of style. He swoons over the pans when Bakugou cooks it. He has Fatgum recommend the best places to eat, and has ratings for every cut of meat he possibly could get his hands on.

    The rest of the class goes silent too, watching Kirishima with wide eyes. He won’t look at them, head bowed over Bakugou’s arm.

    or, Kirishima accidentally kills a villain. It all spirals from there.

What they hadn't expected was that - rather than explosions mixed with a string of curses and insults - Bakugou's fist connected with the boy's face and Kaminari was left howling on the floor, gripping his bleeding nose.

    Reading this was a spiritual experience. I began to levitate. So fucking good the writing is incredible. The plot is amazing and the characterization is spot on. I very much enjoyed reading this while listening to nessa barrett and Maggie lindemann
