Sometimes, Bucky thinks Steve is beyond such emotions, beyond petty humanity. But he’s not beyond this—pleasure burns in fiery blue eyes as he takes Bucky. And he’s not beyond the possessive fervor that lights his touch when his hands slide over Bucky’s face and throat, when his fingers curl into soft hair and press bruises into yielding skin.
Bucky hasn’t been loved in a very long time, and he’s forgotten how it felt, but he doesn’t think anyone has ever loved him the way Steve loves him.
Steve loves like his desire could devour worlds. But all he’s got is Bucky; how is one man enough?
“But you are.”
Bucky’s not sure if he said that out loud, or if Steve’s in his mind again, a part of Bucky in ways he can’t articulate, can’t even understand.
“Worlds wouldn’t be enough,” Steve says, lips pressing to Bucky’s, burning like fire. “You are.”
