Summary
Robby remembers his 18th birthday well, he remembers blowing out the candles and making a wish to meet his soulmate, but his birthday passes, his wish isn’t granted just yet, and won’t be for another 4 years.
Jack remembers his 18th birthday well, he remembers blowing out the candles and hoping that his current girlfriend was his soulmate, but when he goes to sleep and wakes up to a dream, finding a stranger with him while they’re standing on an unknown rooftop, well that complicates things slightly.
In this universe everyone shares a dream with their soulmate, hanging out and getting to know them. However, once the dream ends and they wake up, just like actual dreams, everything is fractured. Memories of what happened are just enough foggy to serve as clues leading to their soulmate.

Robby and Jack both have the day off February 14th, and Robby decides to do something special for the occasion and while Robby’s getting ready to spend a quiet day with his partner, he reminisces about his first date with Jack. All while Jack awaits the end of his shift at The Pitt, also thinking about his first date with Robby, which was nearly a decade ago.
