Aziraphale is sure this isn't right. He's sure he remembers wisps from a world that hasn't been made yet: a bookshop and a restaurant and a park and... someone else. But this is Heaven, before the Beginning. How can he possibly remember anything? How can he possibly feel like he's lost everything?
One shot, sort-of-AU, mostly made of stars and feels. It's been a very long time since something burned its way out of me like this.

Then he took a deep breath and he changed. He ironed out every fold in his posture and his face until he looked like Superman again. His shoulders were broad, his gaze was confident, and his smile showed no sign of embarrassment or fear.
It’s genuinely uncomfortable to watch.
Especially since Bruce knows that change. He’s seen it in the mirror before entering parties or nightclubs. He’s always referred to it, internally, as 'putting on my better face.' The façade is his least favourite part of the day, ranking just below 'getting punched by supervillains.'
The idea that Superman is just Kal's better face, that would explain a lot.
It would also mean Bruce isn't alone.

They've also never let hormones get in the way of making rational decisions, because they didn't have any hormones to speak of.

He knew one other thing. Or - he didn’t know it. That wasn’t quite right. He felt it (whatever it was) as a spark in his very soul (did he have one of those?) that acted with a gravitational force (whatever that was) to pull in the flimsy and scattered debris that constituted his being.
He knew that he needed to get to someone.
After the Fall, Crawly has no memory of his time as an angel, but he is nagged by the idea that he SHOULD remember someone. When Lucifer demands he remember for the sake of the fight with Heaven, Crawly remembers more than he bargained for. It will hurt. He does it anyway.
