Summary
Derek Hale is a high school student who does his best to keep to himself. Until, he ends up as Stiles Stilinski's lab partner. Derek is an unmovable object, but Stiles is an unstoppable force, and their meeting has consequences across the multiverse.
This story is a love letter to Sterek Fan Fiction. It imagines that every world from every Sterek fic is real and asks what would it be like if Stiles and Derek could travel to at least some of those worlds.
This is a multiverse story. There is (temporary) major character death, and universes where minor characters have long been dead. There are a lot of stopovers into non-graphic portrayals of lots of different classic AUs. This includes a brief stop in an A/B/O AU where there is brief mpreg. There are lots of other AUs they will stop in, but I wanted to list those two things in particular in case they squick anyone out so badly that even non-graphic representations of them are too much.
This story was originally my 2025 NaNoWriMo project, posted on my Tumblr. It is now complete and fully edited for AO3. The essence of the story hasn't changed, but I had to do a lot of pacing and characterization edits that weren't possible at the speed of NaNo.

Summary
Derek Hale looked terrifying. With his broad frame and muscles, with his wild black hair and thick beard, with his eyes the color of blood and fangs of a killer. Despite his kindness and his apparent attraction to Stiles, he was still a stranger, a predator, a wolf.
The thing is, Stiles would deal, but others might not. People found Lord Hale horrid, monstrous and unapproachable.
If Stiles stood behind him, no one would touch him.
He’d be safe with the wolf. If not from him, then definitely from everyone else. And that was enough.

He can only hope that Derek Hale will give him the time of day and help save his father out of the goodness of his heart because Stiles has very little to offer, besides the small chance of freedom if they successfully breed.
“I must say, I’m surprised you continue to pursue Derek even after all of our warnings. He won’t choose you. He’s been here long enough that his instincts are getting confused. I believe he interfered in Jordan’s courting because he thought Jordan was a threat to your wellbeing. Don’t mistake his interference for interest.” Deaton sighs. “He’s stubborn and volatile. His reluctance to breed doesn’t bode well for his future. Which is an immense pity. He’s the last of his line. A direct descendant of one of the few native werewolf packs in California.”

Summary
Solace to the heart, solace to the soul, solace to the bones that feed the loam.
In the aftermath of his mother’s death, a young Stiles concocts a plan to bring her back from the grave.
