“She’s me,” Aang answered, looking more perplexed than anything. “I don’t know how, but she’s the… an Avatar.”
“Like… one of your past lives?” Suki asked.
“Actually,” Korra said, “He’s one of mine. I’m the Avatar after him.” And then figuring she might as well drop the pretenses, Korra metalbended the cuffs off of herself and waved, hoping what once would have been an easy feat of bending didn’t make her visibly sweat. “Hi.”
“How did you—?!” Zuko asked as Korra slowly got to standing, watching the Kyoshi warrior drop into fighting stances carefully.
Aang just frowned. “Wait, I can’t metalbend. Why do you get to metalbend?”

During her time away recovering from the Red Lotus attack, Korra stumbles on a spirit that sends her decades into the past, less than a year after the hundred year war. Avatar Aang is happy to help her as much as he can, but his duties and the upcoming anniversary celebrations keep him busy and soon it becomes clear that Korra isn't the only Avatar who could use some help.

EDIT: Be aware, looking back on this, although I don't think I did the worse, Papyrus' and Sans' characters could've been better. Especially Papyrus. A bit of coddling but if you pretty much want pure fluff, here you go.

“You always do this,” Katara whispered. She hoped he could hear the hurt there, riding the waves of her voice.
She hoped he could sense the anger there too, the same that had her clenching her hands into tight fists.
She also hoped he wasn’t looking at her; she didn’t want him to see the tears that were balancing precariously on her lashes.
“I don’t have a choice.” Aang’s voice sounded bitter, a caustic edge she’d rarely heard from him surprising her as it cut into her heart.

Aang doesn’t come out of his fight with Ozai unscathed. He should’ve known he wouldn’t be able to hide it from Katara.

"It's time," Fong said, stepping inside the cell to unclasp the chain from the wall. In the corner of his eyes, he sees the Avatar flinch as the sound of metal clinking against the cold floor echoes through the room.
"Please," the weapon begs, voice hoarse and raw, as he prostrates himself into a dogeza. "Please don't make me do this. I-I don't want to,"
Fong stares down at the small form at his feet in dry amusement. It’s a strange, almost pleasant sight—seeing such a power submitting itself to him. Fong would be lying if it didn't stroke his ego just slightly. Footsteps sound the halls and a guard steps in front and bows in a keirei.
"Sir?" the guard asked. "We're almost there. Is the Avatar ready?"
Fong turns to look down at the pleading gray eyes looking up at him. A small part of him hesitates but he shoves it down. He tugs the chain and walks out, the Avatar stumbling behind with a cry.
"Yes. It's ready,"

He did not remove Sozin’s family from power, despite the corruption. He watched them carefully. He had a solid grasp of all of the elements before even meeting his teachers. Aang was dedicated to peace and the sanctity of life. There was just one eccentricity that gave people pause…
