Meryl shouldn’t have been surprised that even out in the middle of this podunk town she’d been assigned to, trouble would follow Vash the Stampede. Even something as mundane as a grocery trip would inevitably end in a gunfight with that man. Facing down the barrel of a gun was nothing new for Vash. He would be fine, Meryl knew this.
