Mario has had it with SMG3 and SMG4 dancing around each other with their obvious feelings for one another. He just wants the two to finally grow a pair and confess already! It's so annoying seeing them do this!
So, when Mario starts coughing up two different colored flowers... he's so confused.
Until Luigi and Boopkins work together and find out something horrifying: Mario has a new strand of Hanahaki Disease, one where unless SMG4 and SMG3 confess... Mario (in by proxy the whole world) will die from these flowers.
So now Mario is even more determined to get these two dumbasses together, even if it literally kills him.

Summary
