Summary
A tiny change happens.
A boy doesn't get a lucky hit, and is defeated in his first real challenge. Things come crashing down soon after.
Rei is... not quite content, but resigned to her lot in life. Wake up, get sent out to kill a bunch of people, get paid, sleep, repeat. It's not much, but then again, she knew better than to ask for more. However, she never signed up to inflict the same on children.
After being saddled with two eager children, unwittingly selected as meat for the grinder that is the Village System, Rei's had enough. She will make sure these two don't get swallowed up and spit out like she did, no matter what.

Summary
One does not attempt to channel a being of the stars through themselves and into a prison of their creation and not expect the stars themselves to shiver. When the stars shiver, they are felt in ripples and when a mere mortal is at its center it is only natural that their fate is forever re-written in that one moment. Callum's memories flow to his past in droves, but he was not alone in that fate, the one who had held his fate in her hands in that terrible moment, the one who would give up her heart, found their memories following after. The stars however still held tightly to the destiny they foretold and refused to let go, only the memories up to the return of the dragon prince stayed whole escaping the stars' grasp the rest faded to a distant whisper in their dreams. (I do not own the dragon prince obviously.)
