“Then are you hoping I’d ask you for help instead, Colonel?” Your voice turns saccharine. “Oh, won’t you see me through my heat? It hurts so much. I need you so badly, alpha.”
Caleb takes a step back as you advance on him. His throat bobs. Everything has been made explicit with your words. One: you’re an omega. Two: you’re about to go into heat. And three: if you go any closer to him, if the scent of him gets any stronger, you may just collapse on the spot and weep at his feet.
“Stop it,” he says hoarsely. “Don’t kid around.”
