The rise of Paris's favorite duo, Ladybug and Chat Noir, gains Batman's attention. Unfortunately for Ladybug-- and Marinette-- this leads to a series of events that find her on the floor of some warehouse in Gotham, dying as Scarecrow's fear toxin slowly seeps into her veins.
Batman seeks to diminish the threat Ladybug and Chat Noir pose by reigning them in and training them. Marinette is unenthusiastic. With Chat Noir becoming distant, Adrien dating Kagami, and Lila stirring up trouble, she may find herself depending on The Batman and his sidekicks for more than she anticipated. Meanwhile, Adrien and Alya are becoming increasingly worried about Marinette's odd behavior, and that means some secrets are going to find their way into the open.
DISCONTINUED because this fandom is awful, I want no part of it, and I don't wanna hear about this story ever again.

They, Peter and Tony, had been working in one of the labs together on a new type of web fluid that could conduct electricity. He had been working in a daze, mind still caught up in his Aunt’s death, of her bleeding out in his arms, when Peter accidentally dropped the beaker he was holding, reflexes too slow to catch it in time.
The, admittedly unstable, mixture had spilt all over his Spider-Man suit, one Tony had gifted to him when they had begun to work together more despite the fact neither Tony nor any other Avenger truly knew who Spider-Man was under the mask. It splashed over him, fizzling and charring into a black mess that stained the floor.
Glass shot out as the beaker clattered down, a shard of it nicking Tony’s ankle and letting the corrosive liquid splatter across his bare skin. “What the hell?! How could you drop that? We were so close to working that out, you’ve just destroyed weeks of work! Get out of my sight Spider-Man.”

When Lila hit Marinette in the head with a dodgeball during gym and 'accidentally' knocked her out, Marinette was rushed to hospital. When her horrified classmates believed that she'd sustained brain damage, Marinette simply decided to roll with it. Besides, they were dumb enough to believe basically anything, considering the hold Lila had on them. How hard would it be for her, someone with an independent braincell, to turn a simple concussion into so much more?
This was going to be the best concussion ever.
