Summary
The rules of their arrangement were simple: no strings, no expectations, just a fun ride. But rules are meant to be broken, and neither of them saw the crash coming.
Following a chaotic, explosive confrontation at Malone’s bar, the fragile facade between Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis completely shatters. For Dean, the "I’m-a-six-flag-guy" who floats through life without consequences, the sudden, raw vulnerability is agonizing. For Allie, an actress used to finding meaning in misery, the guilt of things left unsaid is too heavy to carry.
They can't go back to the way things were, but moving forward means admitting to a truth Allie isn't prepared to face: they were never just casual.

Summary
So Allie’s little assignment to sleep with someone else? He’ll pick the first one waiting with her ticket, ready to ride. No problem.
Because if there’s one thing that can be said about Dean, it’s that he never backs down from a challenge.
And nobody challenges him more than Allie Hayes.
----
Or, Dean attempts Allie’s assignment. If only he could stop thinking about her long enough to score.

Summary
But there will be a last time, Dean knows. Because he isn’t the guy girls bring home to meet their parents or giggle with their friends about. He’s the bumpy ride up the tracks, the fun twist and twirl, and the exciting fall. He’s the adventure girls get out of their system before they decide to hit the water park instead.
Allie will get used to the high, the adrenaline will wear off, she’ll figure out what she really wants, and this? This will end. Because it always ends.
Because Dean knows what he is. He’s a warm body and dexterous hands. He’s a hungry mouth. An eager tongue. He’s a trip to Six Flags for a girl who has only known a county fair.

Summary
Emma Nolan’s first mistake is assuming Dr Brendon Park is rude.
Her second is taking it personally.
What follows is a slow recalibration - of language, of expectations, of what care actually looks like when it isn’t softened for comfort. Park doesn’t do gentle. He does precise. And, increasingly, he does Emma.
Somewhere between “summary, not detail,” being chosen without explanation, and a question asked with complete clarity, Emma realises she isn’t learning how to work with Park.
She’s learning how to understand him.
And maybe - how to be understood back.
