    “Alright baby, get it out,” he murmured, rubbing his back soothingly. Ponyboy let out a particularly deep cough, which initiated another round of vomiting. Darry winced at the intensity of it. After a moment, the heaving stopped and Ponyboy sagged back against his older brother tiredly. “I don’t feel good,” he mumbled, before letting out another series of harsh coughs. Darry put the back of his hand to Ponyboy’s forehead, before flipping his palm and resting his palm to his kid brother’s head, gently holding him to his chest. “Yeah I bet you don’t, little Colt. You’re pretty hot,” he murmured. Darry shifted them slowly, before pulling Ponyboy up and into his arms.

    In other words; Ponyboy is sick for the first time since their parents died and Darry and Soda are left to pick up the pieces.

    Ponyboy gets sick but thinks he should hide it from the gang because he wants to be seen as older. The gang is protective of their youngest especially when disaster strikes. All Ponyboy wants is his big brother(s). Kind of Darry and Pony centric, but obviously all the boys love and are protective of the baby of the gang. Sickfic!Blood!ThrowingUp!Crying!
