Should’ve pushed Tarsem away, should’ve stumbled out into the night and called Aonung—'I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean—' But the whiskey was a warm weight in his veins, and Tarsem’s hands were steady where Aonung’s had been shaking with rage earlier.
