Charlie Calvin is called out to help out his brother who chose to take their dad's reindeer and sleigh joyriding and crashed. This would have been easier if they hadn't woken up the giant bird who has the indoor voice of a howler monkey, but Charlie could probably use a vacation where he doesn't have to hide how old he is. Or who is dad is. Or the flying reindeer. And if any street deserves to know that Santa really does exist, it's definitely Sesame Street.
Just a cute story, the two universes are explained in the opening notes.

Summary
Bernard finds an old invention which even Quintin doesn't recognize. Knowing that it's dangerous to leave it lying around, the four activate it and are thrown back in time... centuries earlier to the absolute worst possible time they could have arrived in the past at the North Pole that still had St. Nicholas running around. Now, the elves need to hide who they are, their secrets lead to dark misunderstandings, and Charlie suggests a really bad idea to keep everyone safe. But a lack of trust can only lead to a very shaky alliance and they need to get back to the present before something irreparably breaks.

Summary
Dark Spectre was defeated. The day was saved!
Tommy has formed a weird somewhat family of former villains and a few Rangers while absolutely not telling any other Rangers which probably won't come back to bite him.
Zedd has found himself the patriarch of Tommy's newly formed family and has a mix of obligation to Zordon's memory as well as actual affection to keep them alive and successful, especially with several worlds starting to take interest as 'caregivers' of Earth.
Fortunately, there's a plan. An absolutely good plan that can't possibly go wrong at all. And one that will depend on both the new family and the entrance into the galactic council both working leading to one thought from all of the Rangers and former villains:
Zordon got out while the getting was good.

Instead, Elsa never turned evil and is trying her best as a first year principal, Hayley had everything dumped on her and knows the technical side of it but isn't the one who steeped himself in Power Rangers lore, and Tommy is on Mirinoi. In 2004, Dino Thunder found out that the powers that they were given in addition to their morpher had serious consequences. While they made it through, the powers and drawbacks were permanent.
In 2007, history seems to be repeating itself as another group of Power Rangers receive powers. Ninja Storm's were connected in a way that all Ninjas had their connected. Mystic Force's were connected to magic itself. But Operation Overdrive are in a lot of trouble. And Conner's only hope as he goes to help is that maybe he can make it just a little easier starting out.

...Not small enough as now Trent is the new mentor to five color coded teens in Angel Grove with an angry witch suffering from the loss of her "Enemy Mine" situation. Plus there's the fact that he's a teacher on top of it, his teammates are being Them, and he doesn't have a real base like Zordon did. Or a tech. Or 10,000 years to plan.
As long as no evil Rangers appear, he's probably got this under control. Stop saying he's panicking, Conner!
