Summary
He was ten, or he was five, or thirty, or perhaps he was eighteen. It was hard to tell. Time never liked to flow right. Some days he woke up in the summer and was sure it had been snowing only hours previously.
Jaskier know's he's not exactly the same as other people. His memory doesn't work right and there are nights he wakes up screaming but he can't remember why. It's fine. Life moves on. He won't let himself get caught in his past or in his head, instead he just keeps his eyes on the future, however far away it might seem.
And then he meets Geralt, and everything changes.

This story is not intended to glamorise child abuse, and is in fact an exploration on how repeated trauma can affect adult life. Written from the perspective of someone with a dissociative disorder. There is no rape/non-con between Geralt and Jaskier, this story is meant to show them healing together.

At the corner of the inn, shrouded in darkness, was a cloaked man. His hair, peeking from his hood, was white but dirty, he was drinking from a mug and pointedly kept his eyes on it, refusing to raise his face.
Jaskier gave a longing look to a free table right beside a window, where the light from the sun hit just right and promised a warm seat, and headed towards the dark cold spot where the other sat.
“Love the way you just… sit in the corner and brood.”
The other’s eyes shifted towards the side as he scowled.
“I’m here to drink alone.”
Oh, well, always lovely company, my kind.
“Oh, come on, it’s rare to cross paths lately, with all of us dying out and whatnot.”

Derek knows the exact curve and feel of them quite well by know – after all, he’s drawn Stiles countless times, painted him over and over, snapped hundreds of photographs. Derek has memorized every detail of Stiles’ gorgeous body, but he still can never get enough of exploring him; each touch, each kiss, feels as wondrous and new as it does familiar.

Stiles nodded and smiled again, his teeth flashing brightly and he signed something again, before looking frustrated with himself.
“You’re welcome,” Derek told him, feeling a wave of relief when Stiles’ face brightened. That would’ve been awkward if Stiles hadn’t been trying to say thank you.
“I had a really good time, so yeah. I’m glad you came with me,” he said, feeling his face grow hot. Derek wasn’t usually like this. He wasn’t confident. Sure, he had the looks and he could flirt shamelessly when he got hit on, but he always got shy around the people he genuinely liked, not that there was too many of those.
But Stiles didn’t let him dwell on that. He gripped Derek's arm, grinned cheekily and pointed at himself before lifting two fingers. It took a while for Derek to get it but when he did, he couldn’t stop a smile from spreading across his face.

Bucky played by Rainb0wDawg.tumblr.comSteve’s mother died shortly after childbirth and he was sent to grow up alongside Bucky in an Irish-Catholic orphanage. They quickly bonded from a young age, and became closer than brothers. They slept next to each other, bathed with each other, helped each other with bullies and homework, and, during a curious, innocent moment, shared their first kiss. A kiss neither of them spoke about ever again.
Now, decades later, the Winter Soldier attacking Steve on a highway in modern day New York City was discovered to be Bucky himself. Steve quickly incapacitated him and brought him to his apartment, where he hopes to somehow evoke their shared lives through any means possible. Unfortunately, Bucky's arm wasn't the only thing HYDRA 'improved' upon when they created the perfect killing machine.
