Summary
In a modern AU version of Piltover and Zaun, Vi has a lot on her plate. After surviving four years in Stillwater prison, she rescued Jinx from the clutches of a shadowy figure called Silco, and managed to build a life for the two of them and their alcoholic mother (with more than a little help from Vander). So far, they've managed to stay out of trouble, and life is...good. Hard, but good.
But then trouble comes knocking anyway, and Vi slowly realizes she has a choice: fight, or run. And after meeting a drop-dead gorgeous Enforcer of all things, Vi ain't running.

Summary
From the moment Vi had first stepped into the pit, something felt off. Her opponent was a lithe younger woman, dressed in loose, foreign-looking clothes and a dark veil that covered her face from the gleam of the piercing spotlights above. There was a certain off feeling that she radiated, an unease in the way she held herself so assuredly in the blood-splattered chaos of the arena, unmoving, unbreathing. Behind her veil the piercing red hints of two eyes had met Vi’s gaze and, for the first time since stumbling into her new career, the brawler and reigning champion of the pits felt nothing but a cold, animalistic dread.
She’d shrugged it off as a hangover and nerves, tried to keep her mind on the game, until a shadow crossed her vision, impossibly fast, and a fist had crashed into her jaw. From there, it was all a blur, pain and exhaustion; a hand in her hair, and the sharp stab of something into the side of her neck.

After getting bitten in the pitfighting arena, Vi staggers half-dead to the doors of the Kiramman manor. Caitlyn has more knowledge on the supernatural than any topsider should.

Summary
For ten years, Vi was locked up inside Stillwater.
When she was young, Vander used to tell her that prime alphas like her were rare and different. A prime alpha’s soulmate is a prime omega, he used to tell her, they both mate for life—one can never come to existence without the other. But he was wrong, Vi realizes as the years pass, she doesn't have a soulmate because she doesn't deserve one. She's a prime alpha, reduced to a caged, rabid animal, serving penance for a crime she never committed.
Finally, Vi is released from her confines by an alluring omega Enforcer. When she returns to the real world, Vi finds it turned upside down. Silco—the man who killed her father—is the drug-peddling kingpin leader of the Undercity; and the sister she thought was killed by him, turns out to be his masochistic, deadly weapons-maker. As tensions rise between both sides of the city, Vi and the omega Topsider who sprung her must put aside their differences and work together to prevent an all-out war.
One problem: Vander was right—she has a soulmate.
And of course, it's the Enforcer who freed her.

Summary
She struggles, but the guard on top of her is so much stronger, and the only thing she earns is a dislocated shoulder and another guard pinning her legs. It's familiar; it's routine. It's like meditation, maybe. She knows how this story ends: with her cuffed on the ground, her wrists and ankles immobilized by steel, exhaustion and pain making her pliant as she's eventually dragged away.
Or: Vi is used to the routines and abuse of Stillwater Hold, each day blending into the next, each guard just another faceless arm of the Warden's control. Today, though, there's a new guard. A woman. Young, with long dark hair that's pulled back into a regulation bun.

A self-indulgent AU inspired by Arcane Season 2, Episode 7. Except Vi doesn’t die (because why would she?). I refuse to believe there isn't a reality where she and Powder can exist and be happy.
