Summary
While the story Twelfth Night chronicled the times that Hijikata literally spent the night with Chizuru, a couple of readers noted that although the description of the twelfth night clearly implies that Hijikata and Chizuru spent the night together as lovers (in modern usage of the term), the moments directly relating to their first time together were omitted. This was done in order to (a) finish the story on time for a Christmas fanwork exchange, and (b) keep the story rated T.
The story below is the "missing piece" of the longer story Twelfth Night. As with the original, it is written primarily from Hijikata's point of view.
This story is dedicated to Alley-Cat-Sunflower ( shenanigumi on tumblr), as a belated birthday present: I told you that I would write this eventually!

Summary
The mission on the resort moon of Spira was supposed to be a clinical extraction. Step one: Infiltrate the Azure Heights gala. Step two: Lift the code-cylinder from Grand Vizier Oridant. Step three: Leave before the truce between the Resistance and the First Order crumbles.
But when a security sweep traps them in a narrow, dead-end corridor, Rey makes a split-second tactical decision to hide their identities the only way she can think of: a distraction.
It’s meant to be a performance. A ruse. Ten minutes of "looking busy" to avoid a firing squad. But the Force Dyad doesn't know how to lie, and Ben Solo is a very, very convincing actor. By the time the guards move on, the mission is the last thing on their minds, and the air between them has become an unbearable, electric cage of their own making.

Surprise! I am back after like two years and writing for a fandom I have quite literally never made a peep in 😎 I am so chill and nonchalant for this. Anyway!
What if Ben and Rey were never interrupted in the hut on Anch-To? What led to Rey confinding in her mortal enemy, Kylo Ren? How will this connection affect them on opposite sides of the war?
I've always felt that though Reylo has SO much potential, they were never utilized to the fullest. I love them so bad and I just want justice.

He turns, and she's already there, just as he'd suspected. Upon first look, something in her face isn't quite right as she stares at him, wordless and stiff, clutching at the wraps around her arms like some sort of self-hug. Her hair clings to her cheeks in dark tendrils. Her skin has a damp shine to it. No words pass between them, the air thick with silence and the flicker of a firelight.She’s not searing him with violent, angry eyes as she typically would. She wasn't expecting him, possibly didn't even feel it happen beforehand, though her shock was clearly overpowered by whatever had come before him.
Something happened.

Kylo Ren has long since grown weary of space, of his duties, and of the extraordinarily irritating General Hux. All he needs is to be on solid ground for a few precious hours, preferably away from his generals and anyone else whose face he has seen repeatedly for the last six months, and then he could resume the hunt for his uncle without going stark-raving mad. He decides he needs a port-call and that means that the stormtroopers are allowed one, too, although Kylo can hardly imagine they would manage to scrounge up any entertainment in the barren sands of Jakku.
Or; Kylo Ren discovers Rey before the Resistance does and the Force brings them together.

"There's a part of you that finds the Dark Side too enticing to resist," he said, approaching her with deliberate slowness. "You try your best to hide it, but I can see it in your eyes every time you look at me." He flashed the faintest of smiles, his dark eyes pinning her in place. It wasn't a mind trick, she realized, but for some odd reason she found herself unable to move, frozen on the spot until he was just an arm's length away. "As much as you try to fight it, the attraction keeps getting stronger…" He was now towering over her, his voice barely over a whisper. "I warned you, Scavenger."
She had no choice but to hold his stare, now so close she could almost see her own reflection in his eyes.
"About what?" she asked, refusing to feel intimidated."You should try harder to hate me."

“That’ll scar.” Han stood behind him, nervously. He’d always been nervous around him, first, because he was a baby, and Han didn’t understand babies, and then, because he had the Force, and Han didn’t understand the Force. “Girls like scars.”
“It’s not like it matters.” Ben looked out at the thousands of spires. “I’m going to be a Jedi.”
Han grunted in sympathy, and then sat next to him, swinging his legs off the side of the tower. The urge to feel alive, to take risks and taste danger – that was what he’d inherited from his father. “Heard you got off the hook.”
“Not exactly. Community service.”
“Better than a detention block.” Han leaned back on his hands.
Ben scoffed. “It’s asinine.”
His father shifted, looking up at the stars, through the hazy, translucent atmosphere of Hosnian Prime. “What do they have you doing? Picking up orbit pollution, or something?”
“Worse.” Ben snorted. “Teaching orphans to read and write Basic. On Jakku.”
Han winced. “Only slightly better than a detention block.”
