A society-shirking young warlock with glamours galore and a desperate man willing to go to any length to rid himself of a familial curse. A gorgeous traveler woman feeling the unwanted pressure of marriage and a lovely duchess trapped in the confines of a boring, unfulfilling wedlock. An abuse-scarred barmaid with a fiery spirit and a calm, collected bounty hunter with secrets weighting his shoulders. This is the order that the stories will present themselves, and although they are intertwined a little bit there will be almost no real contact between characters, just background pieces.

"Please," Steve rolls his eyes. "You're blasting that shit on repeat, it's practically seared into my brain. Especially the one about the elephants."

Getting slammed against the side of the van, Steve's hands under his shirt, against the curve of his ass. Steve's tongue licking over his lips, warm and wet and eager.
"Woah, big boy. Maybe ask before you shove that tongue down my throat?"
Steve's smug smile as he leaned closer, voice husky and low.
"Let's get you home… and I'll shove it somewhere else."

He must've made a noise, because Steve pauses and glances at him, an indulgent smile gracing his handsome face.
"The truth is," he murmurs, fingers tightening against the back of Eddie’s head, threading into his hair, nails scraping over his scalp. "A well-done dessert is actually what completes a meal. It's… something to look forward to, something to savor and enjoy. A special indulgence to conclude the meal. Don't you agree?"
Eddie tries to answer, but the words turn into a throaty hum instead, muffled by the warm, heavy weight pressing down on his tongue. Steve laughs and pets his hair.
