“Why did you...”, Yoo Joonghyuk grumbled in frustration. Why was this guy always doing stupid things without asking?
He reached out, wanting to remove the collar right away, but a surprisingly strong grip around his wrist stopped him midway.
“I want to keep it on.” Yoo Joonghyuk stared at him, not believing what he just heard. Had that guy hit his head somewhere?-

Just the mere mention of the deity is somehow enough for her to recoil slightly and nod.
"Kim Dokja. You should be careful talking about him in public."
"Why? The god is kind and generous. Why is everyone scared of him?"
"You… do you really worship the god?"
"Of course I do. He saved my life when I was a kid."
"The god… favors you?"
"Oh no, nothing like that. He just showed me kindness and mercy that day."
"Ah, I see. Even so, please be careful talking about him, Kim Dokja."
He still doesn't understand why the old lady is so worried, but to pacify her and not cause a scene, he nods and acquiesces then leaves. Given her reaction, the rumors must be real, even if he still hasn't been able to find him in the forest.
But someday, someday they will meet again.
Kim Dokja comes upon a weakened god in the thorned forest. Years later, he is in turn sacrificed to that same beloved god of his.
