Summary
The hubbub of St. Louis, Missouri never stops. Even with the looming threats of the dragons and the pressure of the city on all sides, there is no rest for the wicked, and certainly not for Mordecai Heller. Wrapped in layers of mystery and a string of hidden webs, he tries to figure out what is going on behind the scenes with the history between Marigold and Lackadaisy. All sorts of characters and events happen to try to hide or uncover the mystery indirectly, causing confusion in Mordecai Heller's already ticking mind. A new and unexpected figure comes onto the scene, causing further confusion in his already busy and over wracked mind. Bullets fly and secrets spill through blood, but will he be able to come out on the other side and solve the mystery without letting the past collapse? Only time and certain tragedy will tell.
