“Cody,” Obi-Wan’s voice was weak, breaking over the name. His blue eyes trailed down to Luke and then back up to Cody’s face. Cody’s arms tightened around the small bundle he held. Force, he was getting in too deep too fast, just like everything else related to his General.

When Obi-Wan Kenobi is called on to complete an undercover mission to discover Separatist involvement on a neutral resort planet, Cody volunteers to help him—not realizing that the planet is exclusively designed for romantic partners. Never one to back down from a mission, both Obi-Wan and Cody agree to pose as a couple for as long as it takes to uncover the Separatists' plans for the planet.
There are... several problems with this. Cody has never even kissed another person before, let alone been in a romantic relationship—posing as his General's husband will somehow be easy, hard, and impossible all at the same time.
For the Republic, right?

The retrieval of the Sith artefact was successful. From a certain point of view.
The Sith artefact in question was definitely retrieved.
It's just the... effects of it, which might be cause for a slight bit of concern.(It's not cause for concern. It actually saves the galaxy. Apparently even Sith artefacts can't abide the plots of other Sith.)

If Bucky had known that he was going to end up in some cheesy 80's crossover between Sam's time in the Falcon program and the movie Top Gun, he would've asked Sam some questions beforehand, like:
Were you into guys or did young Sam really just flirt with everyone like that? Nobody, like, died horribly during the training part of this program, did they? Because these seem very unstable. And was it normal for the "Take My Breath Away" guitar riff to play every time we made eye contact?
He hadn't known, though, that Scarlet Witch from SHEIN would look into their heads and pull this horrible storyline out, so he just had to keep his head above the water long enough to get out of there.

“When’s the last time someone else stitched you up?” Bucky asked. He was still speaking in that breathy, low tone, like he was afraid something might shatter if he raised his voice.
“I don’t know,” admitted Sam. “Years, probably.”
His answer seemed to physically wound Bucky. For a moment, Sam was worried he might cry. Instead, he just lifted his left hand; touched a single finger to the side of the wound. Sam shivered from the cold touch of the metal.
“Is there anything else I can do?” Bucky said, watching the way Sam’s ribcage rose and fell with each breath. The question, for some reason, made Sam want to slam his head against a wall. He’d heard it often, but in all the wrong places. Never when he needed it. And never like this.

Sam and Bucky have this thing between them, and it keeps getting stronger, and something is bound to break. If only either of them could bring themselves to acknowledge it.

Sam sat on the far end, elbow resting on the armrest, socked foot pulled up onto the cushion. Bucky had wedged himself between the couch and the coffee table, back against the couch, his head resting near Sam’s knee. Not quite touching. But close. A mug balanced between his hands, steam curling up toward the ceiling fan.
On screen, something exploded. Probably a war movie. Probably not one either of them actually liked, if the glassy, half-bored looks on their faces were any indication. Then Sam reached down. Barely looking, hand dropping into Bucky’s space. Bucky didn’t even blink. Just leaned a fraction to the side, enough for Sam to tug the elastic band out of his hair.
Sarah’s mouth tightened. That’s suspicious. That’s weird.

“That’s what you said. Right, buddy?” Sam revels in the ever-suffering groan Bucky lets out. Knows he’s tossing his head back, opening up the smooth length of his neck that Sam loves to dig his teeth into.
