    After Thee and Peach's wedding, Mok is officially free.

    Thee calls it a gift. Peach calls it necessary. Mok calls it a mistake, because no one has explained what he is supposed to do with a life that is not arranged around protecting someone else.

    Then Rome takes over Arseni.

    Rome does not ask Mok to serve him. He asks for coffee, dinner, a walk, one honest answer. Mok keeps hearing it like an assignment anyway. When old Arseni trouble starts circling Rome's new leadership, Mok uses danger as an excuse to stay close, because duty is easier than admitting he missed him.

    Rome is patient until he is not.

    Because he does not want to be Mok's job. He wants to be Mok's choice.
