Summary
Sometimes when Ana was alone, it was hard to tell whether the numbness she felt came from the cold, or within.
The orphanage did not do well in letting Ana have the capacity to be able to care about trivial matters such as emotions.
Ana had found it was much easier to live in apathy, as the alternative was pain.
