Summary
This is a rewrite. I wrote the original story in 2019ish, and then got massively burned out and self-conscious. I deleted everything—even my old AO3 account, magicalmayhems. And now, four years older and a little wiser, I decided to start this story again. To be clear: I do not intend to abandon it this time.
But again, new verse same as the first:
Blue gets a Tumblr. Somehow, this proves beneficial for everyone involved.

Summary
After overhearing Silver singing a love song in an empty classroom one day, Gold knows he has to help. Despite them not talking for almost four years, having fallen out in middle school, he becomes determined to help Silver get his crush to like him back, knowing that Silver will never make the first move himself. After all, what’s more romantic than a guy writing a love song about the girl he’s in love with? Any girl would be lucky to have a guy like that.
What Gold doesn’t know, is that the song isn’t about a girl. It’s about him.

Summary
There's no denying that Gold's acting weird. Between last night, the questions, and the insistence to do something that he would normally never volunteer for, something is off, but he can't tell what. He has a week to figure it out, or for Gold to go back to acting normal. And if it affects his search at all, he won't hesitate to leave Gold behind in Vermilion and continue the way he originally planned to.
It's only once he's left Gold's house that he realizes Gold never told him why he needed to know his plans for the week.
