Summary
After nearly dying from the explosion that destroyed the crystal and shut down the ship, Lance has been thinking- what if he had died then? He wouldn’t have been able to say goodbye, or give any last messages to his friends, any explanation or ‘I love you’s for his family.
So he decides to write a goodbye letter, just in case the worst-case scenario happens.
(This was going to be a series of letters he writes after any near-death experiences or right before big battles but I decided to leave it like this because the letters would get really repetitive really fast.
In the future I might add a letter for each season or something. The more time between the letters the more different they will be. I dunno. It won’t be anytime soon though if I do.)

Summary
Trapped under a collapsed building with a ticking bomb, Mac must find a way to save himself with nothing but a dead flashlight and his wits.

There’s a half-second of silence before Jack starts yelling. “No-no-no-no. Mac, get out of there, there’s another bomb and it’s about to—”The explosion is so loud that later he’s not sure if he heard it as much as he felt it, the enormous wave of pressure that makes the building seem to jump off its foundation. Then everything goes dark as the building comes down on top of him.

Note: sandbox fic bomb IED three of them Mac trapped under collapsed building table foot trapped disarm bomb in complete darkness broken flashlight Jack found third (well, and the second, that’s the one that brought down the building) under truck, towed and ran it to a ditch, comms cut unknown status both sides (rubble shifted in second explosion) Mac finally dug out (bike tires) medic low blood pressure panic breathing pull out bruised and hurting foot concussion, hospital aftermath

Mac was no stranger to rumors. They surrounded him throughout his life, even more so when he joined the army. They never bothered him though, most being untrue, but there were always guys that had to see to believe

A new guy doubts Mac’s abilities, and it doesn’t turn out too well
