This is how they spend the next three days on the glove box addition while Mary reads to them from the unreleased 2021 NEISS report, filtered by incidents requiring extraction of foreign objects from the 'lower trunk' or 'pubic region'.

I was already blushing from hearing my Grace. I only got redder from hearing the Eridian word I translated as fuck, whose notes Rocky has made me very, very familiar with over the past weeks. Hey, they say immersion is the best way to learn a language.

“You ate some of it?” I ask, rudely. I’m too irate to mind my language. Who do they think they are? That meat is for Grace. In a way, that meat is Grace.
“Yes,” ♫♬♯♩♩♫ says. They and the rest of the human life support thrum know better than to be offended by my occasionally strange behaviour. “Obviously we weren’t going to risk the life of Honoured Grace on a completely untested technology.”
That doesn’t mean much. There’s a lot of things that are safe for ingestion by Eridians that would outright kill a human.
Trust Grace, I remind myself. He’ll have thought of all this.

Grace huffed a small laugh. “Sometimes, yeah. For example, when the sound is… very low and loud, we can feel it in our chests.”
“Song is neither low nor loud.” That would have an entirely different effect.
“I know. I can still feel it, I think. It’s strange.”
“Good strange, question?”
“Good strange, yeah.”
Grace could feel sound. Grace could feel Rocky’s songs.
Hmm.
Rocky discovers nature's laws aren't as inflexible as they'd thought. He puts this to good use.

What a damn nightmare. He opens the other magazine and is met with the same horrifying crap. It can’t be real. There were tons of these stupid magazines… Sanji goes back to the shelf and grabs the first few he sees and takes them back to the register. This time, the clerk is all business which is fine, Sanji doesn’t want to talk to her anyway. This damn store is choking him with its lack of air and stifling heat so Sanji runs outside. These new magazines are somehow worse.“Why not me and my beautiful Nami-Swan or Robin-Dearest? Why this disgusting, idiotic, unwashed, gorilla-brained, ugly, stupid…”
He wishes the Mosshead would walk by right now so he could kick him. Hard. .... Why would people think he’s gay? He’s into the ladies! And of all the people they could pair him with it’s the Mosshead. It’s THAT GUY. What did he do to deserve such slander?"

Summary
He's always been a bit weird about pain, he knows that. Knows that he can take more of it than most other men, that he’s proud of how much of it he can take. He’s not ashamed of that; he uses it, takes advantage of the edge it gives him in a fight.
But this, the way he gets when he does this… it’s something else entirely. It makes him feel smaller. Fragile. Breakable, cracked open. Makes him want to be good, to be held, to be wanted in return.
Zoro likes men, he likes pain, and he likes being marked. He gets his fix of all three from sparring with his oblivious straight crewmate Sanji, and that's enough... until it isn't.
