Summary
“What's up, internet? Welcome to the first official video of—The New Ghostfacers!”
When an unedited, completely chaotic video of an abandoned house dare accidentally goes viral overnight, childhood friends Tsujinaka Yoshiki and "Hikaru" find themselves—Mainly just Hikaru—the owners of a skyrocketing YouTube channel.
Armed with nothing but a phone camera, flickering flashlights, and a severe lack of self-preservation, they—Hikaru, again—decide to lean into the internet fame.
Across ten distinct locations, they trespass into the darkest, most cursed corners of the county—places that ward off locals and harbor things that move just out of frame.
Yoshiki is strictly fighting a losing battle against his sensitive stomach and his best friend's relentless teasing.

Who else does he text if not his 'boyfriend' of over one year to help. But the heat does not go as planned, and its very different than in the past.

“Indou-san,” Hara-sensei greets as Hikaru stands in front of him. “How are you holding up?”
It’s a question he has always hated, right back since fifth grade, when his daddy died. It’s a question that forces him to look at himself, at what he’s feeling, and decide what other people want to see and what’s too ugly to reveal. It’s exhausting. Can’t Hara-sensei tell just by looking at him? Can’t he tell Hikaru doesn’t want to wake up most mornings? Can’t he tell that it’s wrong, that Hikaru shouldn’t be the one standing here? Or is Hikaru really that good at tricking others into not looking that closely at him?
It’s what he’s done his entire life, after all. Only one person even tried.
After the death of his best friend, Hikaru tries to fill the space he left.

yoshiki's struggling with religion. he chose to never believe—but he constantly thinks of hell, and it haunts him. if he chose not to believe, why does it bother him? why does he chose to care about someone that never answered his prayer when he needs it the most?

Yoshiki had found himself feeling warmer than usual lately. This had absolutely nothing to do with how he felt with Hikaru—they were best friends and always had been.
