Summary
He’s smart as hell, sure, but Harvey thinks the real reason Mike is so good at this shit is because he knows this is the only opportunity he’s ever going to get. It makes Harvey weirdly intense, too. Why he cares so much that Mike doesn’t blow it is beyond him, but he does. Harvey doesn’t even have a real reason to be participating in this scam in the first place, besides the fact that he’s liked Mike from the moment he met him, wants him to do well in life.

“Okay,” Denver says. “Do you want to do a checklist for this? We need a safe word or can we go with traffic light system?”
“WHO on EARTH has been using the traffic light system with you,” Trevor hears himself say jealously aloud, and groans. He slumps forward. That means slumping onto Denver, who hums agreeably and pats his arm, munching steadily through the casserole.
“I’m supposed to be supporting and guiding and mentoring you,” Trevor informs the masticating sounds happening beside his ear. “We have to stop having really good sex and you need to not be so cute.”
“Okay,” Denver says, and pats him again. “I know enough about what you like now that I can probably make sure the sex is mediocre. Can you let me know what I need to do on the cuteness front?”
