Étrange chose à dire après avoir entendu son prénom – son vrai prénom. Avait-il besoin de se le prouver à lui ? De le prouver à James, à Anharion ?

Will se dit que s’il avait cédé aux avances de James plus tôt, s’il n’avait pas eu peur comme il le lui avait demandé, les choses auraient sans doute été différentes. Avait-il refusé parce que ni lui ni Anharion ne s’étaient encore complètement éveillés ? Était-ce justement l’influence de Sarcean qui suintait à travers ses refus timides ?
Il regretta de ne pas avoir saisi le moment quand il s’était présenté entre eux. Se demanda si les lèvres de James auraient un goût si différent de celles-là. Si ses soupirs auraient été plus contenus et son désir, plus discret.
Quelle était la part d’Anharion dans le comportement entreprenant et séducteur de James ?
Quelle était la part de Sarcean dans son comportement à lui ?

he tried and tried, but the air would not move from in front of him down to his lungs and back out. As if it was determined to let him choke and wither away.
He curls his fingers tighter in the blanket, twisting the edge, the pressure feels good. He holds onto that tattered old blanket like it's the only thing keeping him tethered. Maybe it is. A fresh wave of tears falls down, and he feels a sting in his chest as they roll down his sticky cheeks and soak into the blanket wound tightly against him. He lets out a sob, a loud, pathetic sound forcing its way out of his mouth.
He can't breathe.
