Summary
"You think I hate you? You think I'd ever kill you?" Sokka holds Zuko's face in both hands, blood dripping from his lips. "I'd fall on my sword for you. I'd find you anywhere. What do you think that means?"
Rescued, but imprisoned, Zuko finds himself no further from death on a water tribe ship. Sokka, the chief, would see him bleeding out on the boards of the deck as justice. He's a fire bender, the evil of the war that his father rages through their world. Zuko hasn't been a part of that war. Not for years. Now he's thrust back into it against his will, finding himself fighting on a side he never expected to be a part of. Maybe he'll find a cause worth fighting for; someone worth fighting for.

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
Yeah, nah.

Summary
The letter was never supposed to be read, least of all by Sokka. But then, things happen every day that aren’t supposed to, in war.
Or,
On a particularly hopeless night, Zuko sends out a messenger hawk to nowhere. He didn’t realize that his messenger hawk is deeply committed to completing the job. And that Sokka happens to be traveling straight through nowhere, at the time.

Summary
“You know,” Sokka said slowly, “for somebody who acts superior all the time, you seem kind of miserable.”
The other man went very still. For one awful second, Sokka thought he’d crossed some invisible line. Then Zuko huffed quietly, almost like a laugh but not quite.
“Goodnight, Sokka.”
He brushed past him toward the door. Their shoulders collided lightly as Zuko passed, and he caught how cold he felt through the thin rehearsal shirt. Sokka stayed there another moment, staring at his reflection of the room in the mirrors. Then he looked toward the speaker, the discarded water bottle, the untouched food sitting half-hidden inside Zuko’s bag pocket before the zipper had fallen shut.
And for reasons Sokka couldn’t explain yet, walking away from the studio felt much more difficult than it should have.
—
Zuko is the best dancer at Agna Qel Conservatory. He’s also exhausted, starving, and emotionally volatile. Sokka plays hockey, thinks ballet is ridiculous, and keeps accidentally running into Zuko while picking up his sister from rehearsals. Unfortunately, the more Sokka sees of the ballet world, the less he understands why someone would willingly destroy themselves for it.Bookmarked by AglaeSmoak

Summary
Zuko's just moved into his new apartment, and it comes with all the amenities you'd expect; newly renovated bathroom, new paint, and a kitchen sink that's just leaked water everywhere. Oh, and the really hot older guy that's come over to fix the sink. Yay!
[A.k.a. the one with the hot plumber... insert plumbing joke here :D ]
